Coppull United was formed over 30 years ago. We joined the Preston and District League in Division 4 and gradually worked our way up to Premiership status.
In 1998 our new ground at Blainscough Park was created, with assistance from the lottery fund and a great deal of hard work from many people at Coppull committed to providing us with the excellent facilities we have today.
In 1999 we joined the West Lancs. League and once again worked our way up to Premiership status. Currently we have a team in the premier division and 1 in the reserve division.
Since then Coppull has also had many junior teams and currently have an under 14’s team playing in the Central Lancs. League who came first in their division last season and are now in the premier division.
In 2008 Coppull was joined by a Sunday team playing in the Lancashire Evening Post league who in their first season came second in their division.
In 2006 we opened an extension to the club which doubled the size of our bar area and social lounge. In 2008 we extended our facilities further by building a female changing room to accommodate female referees, a new referee’s changing room and more store rooms. Also included in this we installed a bar cellar to increase the space in what was a very cramped kitchen area. However for some time now we have been seeking an extension to our licensing hours to allow us to raise much needed funds by holding some special functions from time to time.
We are currently in the process of applying for the F. A. Charter Standard which will cover both our senior and junior teams.
Coppull United has a small, friendly team of committee members with the support of enthusiastic and loyal players who would welcome any new members. We are all looking forward to progressing further over the coming years at all levels.
The thrills and spills of the Premier League are back and, to celebrate, we are giving away three volumes of Premier League Classic Matches on DVD!
